Roderick Andrew Anthony Jude McDowall was a British actor, photographer, and voice artist. He is known for his roles as Cornelius and Caesar in the Planet of the Apes film series. He also appeared in Lassie Come Home and played the villain The Bookworm on the 1960s Batman series. McDowall won a Tony Award, an Emmy Award, and a Saturn Award. He died on October 3, 1998, in Los Angeles, California.
