_____

This set of two (front and hind) life-size, cougar track replicas offer the look and feel of “real” mountain lion paw prints. Accurately cast from museum specimens, they show every skin fold, fur tuft, and claw.

Use these cougar track replicas to teach about animal tracking, anatomy, adaptation, behavior, and ecology. Made from prints in soft mud.

Cast in the same durable compounds used by museum professionals.

Track replicas are recommended for ages 8 and up, with adult supervision.

Real Tracks from a Mountains lion.

Perfect for your favorite cat and Lion lover! Hunters, nature lovers, and zoo-goers! Great for schools with this as their mascot, or for a teacher, student, teammate, or coach!

Each track cast is handmade from a Mountain Lion print.

Each is unique and may have some marks or dings.

Each track has a hanger or twine on the back, so you can hang it on the wall, lay it flat as a paperweight, or put it on a stand that you supply.

I have black bear prints, grizzly bear prints, wolf prints, polar bear prints, and mountain lion prints.

Each sold separately

The cougar (Puma concolor) is a large cat native to the Americas. Its range spans from the Canadian Yukon to the southern Andes in South America and is the most widespread of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. It is an adaptable, generalist species, occurring in most American habitat types. Due to its wide range, it has many names, including pumamountain lioncatamount and panther (for the Florida sub-population). It is the second-largest cat in the New World, after the jaguar (Panthera onca). Secretive and largely solitary by nature, the cougar is properly considered both nocturnal and crepuscular, although daytime sightings do occur. Despite its size, the cougar is more closely related to smaller felines, including the domestic cat (Felis catus) than to any species of the subfamily Pantherinae
