This remarkable track was discovered in 2008, in a remote area near Yosemite National Park. The cast offered here was taken directly from an original footprint in my private collection, making it a first-generation cast that preserves every subtle contour and impression exactly as it was found.
When I first revealed the existence of this cast, the response was immediate—excitement, curiosity, and questions. The detail captured in this impression leaves little to the imagination.
The footprint measures 13 inches in length and was discovered in east-central California, not far from the granite cliffs and deep wilderness of Yosemite. This region is vast, rugged, and largely untouched—land where traces are rarely left, and even more rarely found.
The track has been studied and carefully documented, yet it remains an enduring mystery.
